Week 10

Monday, July 28:  Eye doctor appointments in the morning, then the library, finally.  Back to a normal schedule after weeks of being off!  That afternoon we took our bikes up to Creve Coeur Lake.  I had never been before, there was a cake there, it was a beautiful day, so we took off.  It was actually pretty crowded and the people were pretty rude.  Our boys are still working on trail etiquette (we are really working on it!) but they sometimes weave, they sometimes don't look ahead, they sometimes cut people off.  People there were NOT happy with that...we had a few people yell/make rude comments.  Seriously people, its a Monday afternoon in the summer...you're going to meet kids, and kids are still learning.  Ugh.  I left with a bad taste in my mouth...maybe we'll try again sometime, or not. 

 Tuesday, July 29:  We had been intending to go to MoBot to check out their Lego exhibit, and finally got a chance to go.  It was ok...kids liked it...kind of bummed to have paid for it.  Oh well.  More fun was the boys playing in the fountains before we left.  Z was mad, mad, mad about something, and he pouted for a bit...Nate and I were cracking up. ;) Littles had fun playing in the water though, even though Z refused to get in, although to be honest, he probably was pushing the age limit on it.  It is so fun to have Nate home in the summer to go all sorts of places with us!

 Wednesday, July 30:  we headed to a park with some girlfriends of mine.  It has been such a crazy, busy summer that I feel like we haven't seen some people.  It was so good to catch up with them! The boys also took the opportunity to do some reading...on the roof! (Ask Nate how that came about...not my doing!)

Thursday, July 31:  Speaking of people we haven't seen, we have only seen Dad and Dena once this summer!  We saw them again today, though, and they took us to Meramec Caverns.  I have never been there before, so I was excited to go.  It was also fun to compare this cave to Luray Caverns, and both were pretty different, even though both are caves. We also went on a short little boat ride which was fun too :)

Friday, August 1:  We went to Six Flags with some of Z's buddies and their families.  We were pretty impressed with the big boys...they rode on all of the big rides.  Gutsy!

Saturday, August 2:  More t-ball games...
