Oklahoma

 We were home from DC for a few days, then packed up again for another trip (3rd one in as many weeks!).  This time we headed to Oklahoma to see our friends who moved there several years ago.  It was amazing to me that after 9 years of our friendship with 8 kids all over the place, we were finally able to just sit and chat while the chaos was all around us.  But it wasn't chaos! They are all old enough that they were able to kind of manage themselves, so Rachelle and I just got to talk and talk and talk.  The kids had such a fun time with the boys, too.  They played Wii, jumped on the trampoline, played with Light Sabers, played with Legos, swam (in their neighbors pool that they so kindly let us use!), read comic books and Lego books, wrestled. 

We were there for 3 days, and it was interesting to watch my kids (Z especially) start to get tired.  He tends to be more introverted and I could tell that he was just getting overstimulated.  We made sure on the last day to get a good hour of quiet time to read books and have some down time.

On the way home we stopped at a Steak n Shake and the boys did so wonderfully.  We were beyond pleasantly surprised to find out that someone had paid for our meal for us!
