The boys did wonderfully. They sat through the entire movie, and kept saying "Ya-ya! Cars 2! Ya-ya!" (For some reason they call Lighting "ya-ya".) Z was a fan as well.
We did not love the movie...but it was ok. It supposed to be a spy type movie, so there were lots of guns and explosions. That didn't bother me too much, and most of it was over Z's head (let alone the boys!). But at the end they wanted to "kill Lightning...he must die!". I had a bit of a problem with that, because THAT is language that Z understands. I think he must not really "get" what guns etc are about, but he "gets" death/dying. That kind of upset him and had him scared, but just for the actual movie. Thankfully it didn't affect him after the movie had ended. Regardless, I think we will stick to the original Cars in this house!
