We headed to KV to celebrate Christmas and Dorothy's birthday thinking we were clear from the plague. We were not.
We had been there for about 2 hours when Z got sick, 2 hours later it was L, then 2 hours later it was Nate. Friday night was a pretty awful night with sick kids and a sick husband and me feeling absolutely awful that I had brought this nastiness to KV to share with all of my inlaws! At about 230 am (still awake) I was pretty much ready to pack everyone up at 6 on Saturday morning and drive us all back home. Thankfully it was a pretty short lived deal, and everyone felt better the next morning, and they were all able to talk me down (you've already got the germs here, no point in heading back now). (Sadly, 3 of the 4 other adults got hit pretty hard by this bug later. Sorry.)
Anyway, we were there to open presents and hang out and relax, and we did. We watched some movies, I read a book, the boys played and crafted with Grandma, read and puzzled and played games with Papa, and played on Uncle Andy's phone.
Mike and Dorothy collect their coins all year then let the boys grab as many as they can in one scoop as a Christmas gift. The littles averaged $12 and Z $22. Not a bad haul! The boys each got a new Hero Factory guy with that loot!
