It was a busy, busy week. We really spent most of the time just as a family, which was fun. We packed a lot in despite the record breaking horrible heat wave.
- Bike riding in the rain. We had about 15 minutes where it "spit" (that would be a Grandma Lora term). But it dropped the temperature about 20 degrees, so we all hopped on bikes and rode for a few minutes.
- fireworks with glow sticks and ice cream sandwiches (first time ever)
- fourth of July parade (first time ever)
- surprise visit from m/d and trip with them to the pool
- city garden
- ice treasures
- Aunt Emily's pool and frozen yogurt
- The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I have been reading this to Z for the past 2 weeks or so, and we decided he could see the movie since he had read the book (it is kind of violent). He liked the book and was able to understand the symbolism (Aslan=Jesus) which was really cool. It was fun to just snuggle with him (and only him) and watch a movie. Haven't gotten to do that in awhile. Most of the time there are the littles also and/or it is a movie I have seen/have no interest in seeing so while they watch on Friday nights I do other stuff. Like blog ;)
