On Tuesday Nate had a follow up eye appointment, so we went over to a friends house to play. We planned on going to Swing Around Fun town that evening, but when my car thermometer said 106 on the way home from the friends house, we nixed the idea of minigolf and gocarts on a blacktop surface. So there went Day 2.
Day 3, then, we decided to go to Monkey Joes (again, in orange!). We had to pick someplace that was inside because MAN it was so hot. We even decided to pay out for the little boys to go, even though it was $5 each. We figured they love to jump on our couches, so how can you go wrong with 5-7 giant inflatables? Well, apparently you can go wrong. They were not particularly fans. They bounced for a few minutes, then whined to get out. They were much happier wandering around the place, climbing on the picnic tables and banging on them, climbing into the coin operated cars, and then they found the little kid Lego area and they were done. Bummer. At least Z had a good time. Of course I only got a few pics...when we're somewhere for the first time there are all hands on deck, no hands on cameras.
After that, Nate was daring enough (he even suggested!) that we go to OCharley's for lunch. We haven't been out to a sitdown non MickeyD's type place with just our family ever. But kids eat free there, and not just one kid per adult, but TWO kids per adult. SCORE! So we walked out with all of us eating, drinks, an appetizer, and 3 doggie bags for $25. The little boys did so well, too! We cleaned up the floor as we went (and it wasn't really that bad, either). Z knocked over a full drink, but I got that cleaned up. We walked out feeling pretty good about ourselves and our boys! We need those every once in awhile. :)
