Apple picking

We decided to go apple picking after I had continually put it off.  It was a nice afternoon and I knew my time was short.  The kids were ok with going, not thrilled.  There are more and more things that they are "outgrowing".  Of course they can always pick apples, but there is not the excitement that there used to be :(  They enjoyed checking out all the different pumpkin types as we walked through those patches as well.  They loved one variety, a kind of green-ish white, that they called the zombie pumpkins.  ;)
We picked a few bags of apples and planned to go home to make a pie.  We didn't quite get that far, but made an apple crumble instead.  They were happy with that, though!
