Week 5

This week Z had swim lessons, and it was painful.  The teacher misplaced him, and put him in a higher class than he should have been in.  He didn't seem too bothered but it was glaringly obvious to me.  He learned a lot, I think, but still needs some work.

Tuesday June 24:  We had a doctor appointmet to follow up with C's thumbs (they don't bend at the top joint...weird).  She did x-rays and everything looks totally normal, and since they haven't been a problem for him with any fine motor skills, she said it was strange but not to worry.  Sounds good to me :) This afternoon we went to Grant's Farm with some friends.  We parked and rode our bikes a few miles along Grant's Trail, our first time on that route.  The boys did great riding bikes, and we enjoyed Grant's Farm.  We paid a dollar a pop to let the boys feed the parakeets and it was so worth it! They loved it.  Z loved that he had a bird sitting in his hair ;) We forgot to get a cake picture at Grant's Farm (boo!) but got one on Grant's Trail.

Thursday June 26:  Z went to a buddies house and swam in his pool, then had swim lessons, then all of us went to Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags.  As Z told his swim teacher, "I'm wearing my swim trunks ALL DAY!".  We had fun at Hurricane Harbor.  L and N could only go on one ride there, but C was tall enough to do a few others.  He went on what I would call the scariest one there but then wimped out at the end on some of the easier ones.

Friday June 27:  Z went to a birthday party, then we went to the pool to swim.
Saturday June 28:  Littles had a t-ball game.
Sunday June 29:  I got some "time off" to go to a wedding shower and then out to dinner with some girlfriends.  :)
