February fun

We went to a birthday party at a bounce house and Z LOVED this jousting pit.  He and another little boy were pretty wild and crazy in there.  Even more fun was when he and I were pitted against each other.  I took him best 2 out of 3, but on that 1 he legitimately took me down.  This is not entirely surprising since he is huge, but it still caught me off guard!

After Christmas (and the never ending snow days) the boys really started getting into building Lego sets.  I had collected and sorted several sets, and now (after birthdays) we are up to 40 (FORTY!!!!) complete sets of Legos.  They are all in labeled bags with the directions, and the boys will just go grab a set, dump it on a cookie sheet, and build it.  Often, as soon as it is complete, another brother will dismantle it, then sit for another 30 minutes and rebuild it.  Over and over and over.  No complaints here!  We are actually pretty impressed by their attention span.  It is also fascinating to see the differences in the boys as they build...especially watching N's determination and focus and L who loves to organize and sort.  They are really pretty good about keeping the sets together and separate from the other "building" legos in the lego room.  But really, now our house is entirely overrun by legos.  

It has been a cold cold winter.  The boys have cracked me up as they have fought over the vents.  At times there was a boy sitting on each vent in the house just to warm up ;)

How's this for random?  Nate and N passed out one afternoon on the couch.  Neither was sick, but they just fell asleep there snuggling.  Love it.

These boys have SO MUCH FUN together.  They do really well about 90% of the time.  The other 10% there is screaming and hitting and yelling but most of the time they have a great time.  Siblings are the best...and having siblings your own age, built in 24/7 playmates is such a blessing!

We did have a few nice days in February.  Not many.  Like 1.  But we went outside on that day.  Again, the boys have so much fun.  They play games (Ninjago, Mario Cart, Pokemon, I don't know what else) but they are a trip to listen to as they work out the "rules" of the game.
