Fun with family!

We were so so glad to have Jenny, Greg and the girls here for Christmas!!!

They are on a 3 year rotation and hadn't been to St. Louis for 3 years.  We hadn't seen them in a year and half, when we went out there.  The girls have grown up so much and it was such a fun time to play with them and interact with them and just LOVE on them.  

They stayed at Emily's house (since our house is already overloaded) but spent the days over here or out and about.  

 We had Sonic several times (since there aren't any in DC), and our kids love them :)  We read books and played.  The girls loved the basement and playing down there (and to be honest, my boys probably overwhelmed them a bit, and the basement is a good escape!).  We took them to the Magic House and the Bird Sanctuary (always good to get 7 kids out of the house if possible).  Dad and Dena kept the grandkids one afternoon while all the "kids" went out to lunch.  Jenny and Greg treated us to Chili's and a lunch of grown up conversation :)   

We also got family pictures taken...they turned out decently for what we were working with! 

It was just so good to have them here.  I miss Jenny being so far away!  Although I will say that we often have better conversations on the phone than in person, because in person we are still having to deal with children and putting out fires, while on the phone we can pick a good-ish time to talk without major interruptions.  

This summer is our summer to go there, so we will see them again soon.
