Balloon Glow

We headed to the Balloon Glow again this year, which I love!  After taking a break last year (since we went when the boys were 1.5 and 2.5 and they screamed out of fear for most of the time), I decided it was time to try again.  We were pleasantly surprised!

It had rained early in the day, so I think it was a little less crowded because of that.  There was no real problem with that, though...the ground was a bit damp but we had a blanket (next year we need to remember to take chairs for me and Nate). 

We parked at the Science Center and played on the dinosaurs for a bit, then began our jaunt.  It wasn't too bad, and thankfully our boys are used to walking and don't complain too much. 

We took a picnic dinner and ate, then walked around to see what we could see (next year, bring glow sticks!!).  Again, our boys pointed out cool stuff but didn't ask/whine about getting stuff.  We did play a game with Z:  if you could pick JUST one of the foods to get, what would it be?  Just as fun (well maybe not) and cheaper than actually getting it :)

 When the balloons started going up the boys were all into it.  Well, there was a side fun game of lying on and wrestling with Daddy...but they liked the balloons too.  And we actually got to walk through the whole field and see all the balloons, since no one was freaked out and crying from the loud noise from the fire/gas blowing up the balloons.  Some things are getting to be so much more fun as they get older!
