Hanging out

We spent a lot of time running around the Gatlinburg area but clearly needed to use our home base at the resort a lot as well!  

We ate there most evenings but tried to stay busy during the day...no matter how you cut it, 5 boys in a small space is just not ideal :) 

Mat and Marbree brought their Wii, so the boys played twice. 

 

There was no shortage of kindles or phones for the kids to play games on occasionally.  

 

Grandma Dorothy brought a craft a day (!!!) for the kids to work on.  Stickers, booklets, puzzles...we were so grateful for those when we were trying to get organized in the morning!

We had a few decks to go sit on and chat. 

Papa Mike brought his binoculars. 

 

We sat outside one evening during a rainstorm with our kiddos and talked about the fun we had been having. 

3 or 4 of the evenings after the boys were in bed the grownups played cards.  It was a good time :)

The boys slept with 2 on the pullout couch, 1 on the loveseat pushed up next to the pullout, and Z slept on the floor.  They came to love pulling out the couch. 

 

 

And of course, the boys went a little bonkers playing on that pullout couch.  Look at that jumble of legs.  Yowsers.  Thankfully they were pretty worn out at the end of the day plus it was a bit later than normal, so they all passed out right away. 

In the morning the boys all lined up at the counter to eat :)  This morning Andy and Emily were serving them delicious cinnamon rolls.
