Ice Sculptures

I found this site that talked about making these ice sculpture type things, so I figured I'd give it a shot. 

I froze the balloons (and Z thought we were going to just throw them to watch them shatter...they are water balloons, right?). 

They pulled off the balloons...

poured on salt and let it begin to melt the ice...

then filled in the salt "holes" with food coloring.

They ended up looking kind of neat...

but we had a hard time keeping L from licking up the ice and salt ;)
