Summer plans

It is such a blessing to have Nate at home for the summer since he is a teacher! It definitely takes some getting used to on everyones part, though. Nate is NOT used to being home full time...and it is a bit nutty here, and he is used to having some time to himself.  I am NOT used to having someone in my space all the time (unless you count little boys).  The boys are NOT used to having Daddy home all the time (and they loooove it!).


At any rate, this summer we are finally able to do a bit more with the boys. Last summer they were still pretty little and not really into much stuff, and the summer before that we were trying to survive. Now they are "easy" to take places, and they love to be out (in fact, if C even hears us say "car" or "go", he bounds to the door and says "Car? Car? Car!!!!!")

We decided to go to the pool a few afternoons a week.  We also made a commitment to go on a field trip as a family at least once a week...to the zoo, magic house, etc. We signed Z up for the library reading program, so have been going to the library every week. The library also has fun programs for kids to go to, and last week Z and I saw Chris Camp, the whip guy, which was highly entertaining! They have several programs each week, so I have tried to find one we can go to each week during the little boys naptime.  I am in charge of our church's Friday playgroup at the park, so we go to different parks each Friday. And then we see friends we don't get to see in the school year, and those we normally see.  Z had swim lessons, then we have VBS, we are going to Nate's parents house, and then we have a family reunion.  We are going to Florida later in the summer with my entire family, then I am taking the boys to Chicago to see some friends at the end of the summer...it is a full summer for us.  Pretty fun!
