So here goes...the first week of summer, we...
- played in the sprinkler and made our own water slide
- played with water balloons (aka water bombs)
- played in the sprinkler in front
- broke out a new box of sidewalk chalk
- picked raspberries and strawberries
- blew bubbles with new bubbles
- camped in the backyard
- make smores while we camped
- pool, pool, pool
- liquid sidewalk chalk
- made and decorated cupcakes for aunt emily
- played with water guns with friends
- bike rides/watch daddy play ball (he has games at 630, so we go up after dinner, ride around the 1.4 mile loop, stop at the playground halfway, and end at Nate's ballgame to watch for a few minutes then head to bed)
- went to the zoo with aunt Emily for her birthday
- free movie: rio
- friend over to play
- baseball games (z's)
- homemade lava lamps
- made a castle with recycled boxes and something else (?) with plastic cups
- slip n slide/sprinklers/water guns
- bike rides around the park
- watched two trees get taken down in our front yard. Sadly, one was totally dead, and the other was mostly dead (Princess Bride, anyone?). Thankfully, they were between the sidewalk and street, so the county took them down for us. Whew...that literally saved us thousands of dollars. They left the branches and Nate sawed them up, and we have firewood for at least 3 years! The boys did a good job helping him move it to the side of the house, especially N. He is such a hard worker!
