On one of our family field trips we went to Grant's Farm. We went once last summer (without Nate) and hadn't gone again. It is getting so fun to go places now, since the boys can appreciate it so much more and since they are easier to deal with in public!
They (C especially) loved the tram ride. We didn't see too many animals, which was a bummer, but it is just kind of luck whether you see any or not.
We got in and saw the goats. If you have been there, you know they are NUTS. The little boys did ok with them...they really weren't quite sure what to do with the bottles (at one point I had to make sure someone, I can't remember who, didn't drink the bottle himself!).
Once the bottles were gone (so 3 seconds after we walked in) we let Z brush the goats a bit. The little boys were pretty freaked out by them, but we stayed in there for a few minutes and they started to warm up to them a bit. Not much, but some :)
For a special treat we got snowcones. Somehow Z managed to get his own (well, he shared with mom and dad) and the little boys split one. Check out their tongues!
Fun, fun day! So glad to have Nate home in the summer so we can do fun stuff together!
