The 'Ville

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Kirksville to celebrate cousin P's birthday.  Mike and Dorothy came up, as well as P's grandparents and one aunt on Marbree's side.  We got there late Friday night (after an extra long drive...traffic added about 45 minutes to our trip!). 

Saturday morning we headed to the Farmer's Market for something to do.  Didn't find anything, but it got us out of the house.  We spent time playing inside and outside at their new house, walked to a nearby park, walked around Truman's campus.  We ate yummy food (cake included!), stayed up late, played games, and got to hang out with family.  Z loved having all those grandparents around (Marbree's parents quickly adopted him as well).  The little boys did not sleep well (really, they slept fine, just not LONG) at naptime, which made it kind of difficult, but all in all we had a good time.  And P and Z always have fun together! 

P got this fun wagon from Marbree's parents, and Z loved it.  In fact, I had only brought the 2 person wagon figuring one of the boys could ride with P, but that idea was quickly nixed by Z. 

So we started putting all 3 boys into this 2 person wagon. N is smallest, so he has to share with someone, and since L is so laid back, it is always N and L. One of the funniest things that happened was that L (who is so lovey with his brothers!) leaned over to hug N, complete with "ahhh...ohhhh..." lovey noises. N handled it well for a minute and giggled with him, but then quickly wanted nothing to do with that, so he is squirmed away screaming as only he can!

We played outside on the swingset that used to be ours, and I let the boys take a shot on the big boy swings.

And they all crammed into the baby pool that was empty of water...but still fun!

They played inside with Chuck (I think that was his name?) the Truck. 

Everyone in the family loves to read...

And our lives are just not complete unless we play with Legos of some sort!

Marbree made an awesome Mater cake for P.  He is totally into Cars, especially Mater!  I think she did a great job, and P did too...when he saw the cake he just said, "Ohhhhhhh!"

Z made sure to help P with the presents ;)
