Raccoon holes: Here the boys are playing on a "raccoon hole" (manhole). We told Z a long time ago to be careful on them, since sometimes raccoons can live in them (they did in our old neighborhood anyway!). They have now forever been termed "raccoon holes".
Noggit: In Finding Nemo, Crush (the dad turtle) gives his kid (Squirt) a "noggin" (bumps heads) instead of a high five. We have been doing this since Z was little, but somehow it got changed to "noggit". Sidenote: For a long time, Z used to call turtles "dudes" (since they say that a lot in Finding Nemo). He used to love Finding Nemo, it was the first movie he loved and watched every day (when he was about the little boys age). When he was maybe 2 1/2 he started getting scared of it and refuses to watch it. What is he scared of? The sharks, of course, but he is more terrified of Darla (the little girl). In fact, if you ask him to name scary things, Darla is normally one of them.
Sillies: The Sunday funnies. The first time he saw them I must have said something like "Isn't that silly?!" and it stuck. Now he asks for the sillies. Love it.
Appetized: Z came home from church one morning and we asked him what he learned about, and he told us they learned about Jesus, and how he got appetized. It took me awhile to figure it out, but he still consistently says "baptized" as "appetized". Hilarious.
love the "appatized"! Ben and Molly call baptisms "bath-tism"...they are a little confused about the water portion of it all:)
