Sweet boys

This morning was my morning to sleep in, and Nate shared this story with me.

When all the boys woke up, C and N walked out into the kitchen, and L lagged behind (pretty typical...he is pretty independent!).  He came wandering out with a paci in his mouth that he had found on the floor (pretty funny, because he is a thumb sucker.  But he still loves to play with the pacis).  Anyway, C reached over and snatched it out of his mouth and put it in his own  (again, pretty typical.  This is a favorite game...one has a paci, and the other two will try to snatch it out, and this will go on and on until they are in a full fledged fight and/or one or more are screaming).
But then it turned different.
L started wailing, which is very unusual for him.  N and C...those kids wail and whine and complain all the time if someone takes something from them.  But L never does.  He thinks it is a game and laughs about it.
Bless little C's heart, he looked over at L, and tried to put the paci back in.  But L was still wailing.  So C walked over to Nate and handed him the paci (that is never done either...no one willingly gives up a paci to me or Nate).  Nate thanked him and praised him.
Then C walked back over to L, squatted down so he was staring him in the face, and started making happy "boo" noises at him, as if to cheer him up and make him smile and stop wailing.  (It didn't work.  Once L is wailing, it takes awhile for him to calm down again.)  Again, Nate praised him a ton.
So C, sweet boy, was trying to cheer up L.  Trying to apologize...to make him stop crying.
Love to hear those stories.  Love to know that my boys love each other.  And it is so fun to see them starting to learn stuff!
