Two Firsts

Two big "firsts" today...not super exciting firsts, but ones that showed me how big my boys are getting.

First, we went to a friend's house for lunch.  We all got into the house in ONE TRIP.  That's right, kids.  All 4 kids walked in on their own, while I carried in 3 booster seats, a bag with our lunch, a pan of brownies, and a diaper bag.  In the past, it has taken me upwards of THREE trips (back in the days of pumpkin seats and booster seats and the pump and bottles and lunch and blah blah blah).  HUGE that my kids are now able to get themselves in.  It took awile for them to all get in, but they did it.

Second, since it was raining, we had to play downstairs after naps.  And my kids all took the stairs on their own.  They have finally figured out how to go down the stairs...they go backwards on their bellies, and again, it took awhile, but they all got down to the basement on their own.  Again, in the past, it would sometimes take me 3 trips (down, up, down, up, down) to get all of them down. 

So not super exciting firsts, and certainly not "firsts" that you would see on a traditional baby calendar, but they are big ones for me.  My babies are growing up!
